Guseva spoke about the goals of the All-Russian Municipal Award "Service"
The All-Russian Municipal award "Service" is aimed at identifying, supporting and disseminating the best social practices in the regions of Russia. Irina Guseva, a member of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for the Development of Local Self-Government, told Izvestia on December 1 after accepting applications for the III All-Russian Municipal Service Award in TASS.
"The award is in order to see the fate of people, to horizontally scale the best practices. The award is to tell about the unique people who put their soul into it, to whom the countrymen have entrusted the government," she said.
Guseva noted that the project is designed to identify those who, on a daily basis, "without demanding awards," solve key government tasks at the municipal level: from organizing teen clubs to supporting socially vulnerable groups. She stressed that the "municipal family" includes not only heads and deputies, but also workers in education, sports, transport, volunteers, community activists and non—profit organizations (NGOs) - about 4.5 million people from 16.3 thousand municipalities of the country.
According to Guseva, thanks to national projects, each region and municipality has its own uniqueness, and the award allows us to show this identity, encourage regions to learn from each other's successful experience and strengthen domestic tourism.
In addition, a member of the Presidium of the Council for the Development of Local Self-Government spoke about the launch of a new nomination dedicated to multinational unity.
"A large, multinational, friendly family lives in any region. And we understood that we needed to be given the opportunity <...> to show our uniqueness through culture, tourism, gastronomy, through holidays, through the implementation of an agricultural project. <...> Together, our country has something to be proud of, something to share, something to tell," Guseva said.
On November 10, it was reported that more than 15,000 applications were submitted for participation in the third season of the All-Russian Municipal award "Service", established by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the organizers, the largest number of applications were received from the Volga, Central and Siberian Federal Districts. Among the leading regions are the Belgorod and Penza regions, the Kemerovo Region — Kuzbass, the Krasnoyarsk and Perm Territories, the Saratov Region, and the Udmurt Republic.
