The National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan conducted searches in the public security service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic

The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan, together with the republic's Internal Investigation Service, is conducting searches in the public security service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). This was announced on April 19 by the ministry's press secretary Sultan Makilov.

"Searches are being conducted in the Public Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by GKNB officers together with our internal investigation service," he said in an interview with TASS.

Makilov added that details about the reasons and the course of the searches will be announced in the near future.

On April 14, the press service of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry reported that former Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov was accused of abuse of office. It is noted that Aidarbekov is suspected of illegally spending funds, overstating certain cost items, as well as writing off funds without reliable documents.
