Trump expressed confidence in Iran's renunciation of nuclear weapons
The United States will soon get Iran to renounce possession of nuclear weapons. This was announced on April 20 by the American President Donald Trump.
"As soon as we ensure that Iran does not have nuclear weapons — and I think this will happen very quickly — we will see a reduction in prices. We have actually defeated them. <...> You will see how energy prices will fall in a way you have never seen before," he said in an interview with radio host John Fredericks, the conversation is published on the radio station's website.
Trump added that Iran's possession of nuclear weapons would destroy the Middle East. In addition, he stated that Iran could harm Europe.
"We will make sure that Iran, by the way, does not have nuclear weapons. <...> They will negotiate. And hopefully they will make a fair deal and rebuild their country. But when they do, they won't have nuclear weapons," the American leader said.
On April 20, Trump already noted that during the negotiations between the United States and Iran, the agenda of discussions shifted to the issue of the inadmissibility of Tehran's possession of nuclear weapons. The head of the White House said on the same day that representatives of his administration were heading to Islamabad to participate in negotiations on Iran. The American leader added that the United States would offer a reasonable and fair deal to the Iranian representatives.
Later, the IRNA news agency reported that Iran had decided to withdraw from the second round of negotiations due to excessive US demands and frequent changes of position. At the same time, The Associated Press noted that the Pakistani authorities had nevertheless prepared for negotiations, but on April 21.
