The European Commissioner pointed out that the Russian Federation is ahead of all EU countries in the production of shells.

Russia produces twice as many artillery shells as all the countries of the European Union (EU) together, and is almost four times ahead of European states in producing cruise missiles. This was stated on April 20 by the European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, at a hearing in the European Parliament.

"Russia is still producing more. Last year, Russia produced 1,1 thousand cruise missiles, the EU — 300. Ballistic missiles: Russia — 900, the EU — 0. Artillery shells: Russia — 4 million, the EU — 2 million," Kubilius quotes TASS.
