Comedian Petrosyan recognized the words of his joke in Fico's statement
Comedian Evgeny Petrosyan said on April 17 that he had learned the words of his joke in a statement by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico about "Russians on their knees."
"Today, on the networks and on political TV shows, they recall how Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, in fact, repeated my joke of 2016. <...> And when I heard it as a quote, I exclaimed again: "So I said it right!" - Petrosyan wrote in his Telegram channel.
The comedian accompanied the publication with an excerpt of a joke where he talks about Russia, which did not kneel, but "laced up its boots."
The day before, Fico said at a meeting with students that the European Union (EU) was trying to "bring Russia to its knees," but their strategy was not working. The politician noted that currently the EU has nothing to offer from the point of view of the world. At the same time, Europe believes that it can "weaken" Russia by providing support to Ukraine.
