The State Duma commented on Zelensky's award of the international prize
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky deserves an international court, not a prize. This was stated by State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa on Thursday, April 16, commenting on reports about the award to the Ukrainian leader.
Earlier, Zelensky was awarded the international Four Freedoms Award, RT reports.
"This is certain nonsense. Naturally, what Zelensky deserves is an international court," Chepa said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Earlier that day, the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands said that awarding Zelensky the Four Freedoms Award, which is given for observing the principles proclaimed by the 32nd American President Franklin Roosevelt, is hypocrisy, according to the website. kp.ru .
The embassy attached a poster to the post showing four freedoms that Zelensky allegedly protects: "freedom of speech," "freedom of religion," "freedom from want," and "freedom from fear." The press service of the Russian diplomatic mission noted that there is currently no corresponding concept in Ukraine at all.
