The "bunch of tyrants" is guilty of plundering the world, as well as carrying out murders and destruction, for which it spends billions of dollars. This was announced by Pope Leo XIV, whose words were quoted by Sky News channel on April 16.

"The world is being ravaged by a bunch of tyrants, <...> woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their military, economic and political gain, dragging the sacred into darkness and filth," he said.

The corresponding statement, as explained in the text, was made by Leo XIV as a reaction to the conflict observed in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Pope once again called on the parties to resolve the escalation in the Middle East.

Leo XIV said on April 7 that US President Donald Trump's threats against Iran and its people were completely unacceptable. At the same time, he appealed to representatives of the international community to think about the consequences of a possible military clash for civilians. In turn, on April 12, the American leader criticized the pontiff, linking his statements with the desire of the church to deal with him.

The next day, US Vice President Jay D. Vance urged Leo XIV not to engage in politics, but to pay attention to morality. In particular, he called on the Pope to pay attention to the Catholic Church.
