"Petrushka", 6+

Directed by Pavel Voronin. Starring: Alexander Metelkin, Nikita Kologrivy, Stasia Miloslavskaya, Lyudmila Artemyeva, Garik Kharlamov, Viktor Loginov.

A bright culinary comedy from director Pavel Voronin, who is already familiar to viewers from the soulful film "My Grandfather's Men's Rules" with Roman Madyanov and "I want! I will be" with Ekaterina Guseva. In the center of the plot is the incredibly talented but extremely insecure chef Petya, played by Alexander Metelkin.

Petya works in an ordinary Moscow restaurant, creating real culinary masterpieces that go unnoticed by the public. All the glory for his work is brazenly appropriated by his best friend and colleague Roma, played by Nikita Kologrivy. The situation escalates when it is he who, having passed off a friend's dish as his own, receives an invitation to a prestigious restaurant, and takes Petya with him as a forager.

The cook's familiar world is turned upside down when a childhood toy bursts into his life — Petrushka, who speaks in the voice of Garik Kharlamov. With his sometimes shameless but accurate advice, the rag dummy helps Petya to gain the courage to step out of the shadows and declare himself to the whole world.

Guru, 18+

Directed by Jan Gozlan. Starring: Pierre Ninet, Marion Barbeau, Anthony Bazhon, Christophe Montaigne, Jonathan Turnbull.

A new work by suspense master Jan Gozlan, who gave the audience a tense "Black Box", this time explores the underside of the self-development industry. The plot focuses on psychological confrontation and dangerous mind games in the elite coaching world. Pierre Ninet, who secured the status of one of the brightest stars of French cinema after Yves Saint Laurent and The Count of Monte Cristo, transforms into a charismatic mentor. To play the role reliably, Pierre studied the performances of real world motivation stars, including Tony Robbins, for several months.

His hero is a modern guru who promises his followers the key to inner freedom, absolute discipline, and healing through love. However, behind the beautiful slogans there is a calculating manipulator. Gradually, inspiring speeches turn into a tool of total control, blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion.

"Operation Panda." Wild Mission, 16+

Director: Derek Hui. Starring: Jackie Chan, Ma Li, Qiao Shan, Ke Da, Pan Binlong.

The legendary Jackie Chan returns in the sequel to the family action comedy, where he once again plays himself - a world—famous action star with a kind heart. For the actor, this project is deeply personal. Chan is a long—time panda fan and the guardian of the two bears. In addition to his acting career, he promotes them all over the world.

The plot of the second film revolves around a new mission. Jackie has to transport his furry ward to a modern aviary. However, along the way, the heroes are attacked by a gang of international mercenaries hunting for a rare animal. In the course of a spectacular chase, Jackie and panda Xuxu fall off a cliff and find themselves in the thick of an impenetrable jungle. There they come across a mysterious primitive tribe that mistakes the bear for a "divine beast" capable of saving their people from great calamity.

"I am a Hawk," 18+

Directed by Philippa Lowthorpe. Starring: Claire Foy, Brendan Gleeson, Lindsay Duncan, Imogen Dufty, Denis Gough.

The film is based on Helen McDonald's autobiographical book of the same name, a bestseller translated into dozens of languages and recognized as one of the most important non—fiction texts of the 21st century about nature. The film was produced by Brad Pitt's film studio, Plan B Entertainment, which has such Oscar—winning hits as "12 Years a Slave" and "Moonlight."

The plot of the deep psychological drama revolves around a Cambridge employee, Helen, whose familiar world collapses after the sudden death of her father, a famous photojournalist. Caught in the grip of severe depression, Helen loses her footing and does not understand how to survive this loss.

In an effort to escape from the unbearable reality, she turns to the ancient art of falconry. Helen takes on the upbringing of Mabel, a young female goshawk, a bird with an extremely wayward and wild character. The process of taming a predator becomes a kind of therapy for the heroine.: harsh discipline and the need to understand the instincts of a bird cause it to gradually come out of its stupor.

"Normal", 18+

Directed by Ben Wheatley. Starring: Bob Odenkirk, Rina Jolley, Brendan Fletcher, Brian Saki, Lena Headey.

An action-packed crime thriller starring "Better Call Saul" and "Nobody" Bob Odenkirk, who co-wrote the scripts with "John Wick" author Derek Kolstad. One of the roles in the film, a local barmaid with her secrets, was played by Lena Headey, the star of Game of Thrones. Critics are already comparing the film to "Fargo" for its similar atmosphere: a small-town crime story, mixed up in absurdity, black humor, and the fates of ordinary people unwittingly drawn into serious crimes, resembles the corporate identity of the Cohen brothers.

Ulysses arrives in the small town of Normal to take up the position of sheriff. On the spot, he begins an investigation into a bank robbery. And in the course of his work, he accidentally reveals the dark secret of the city, turning an ordinary investigation into a fierce confrontation with the locals. The hero of Odenkirk finds himself embroiled in a large—scale firefight, where everyone he meets can turn out to be an enemy, and a quiet town can turn into a battlefield.
