Prices for new cars have changed in Russia for eight brands in the first half of April

From April 1 to April 15 of this year, prices for new cars in Russia have changed for eight brands officially represented on the market. This was reported on April 16 by the analytical agency Autostat. Six brands have increased in price, one has become cheaper, and another has experienced a multidirectional price change.

So, Moskvich raised prices by 30-40 thousand rubles for a crossover with the index 3, released in 2026. The crossover of another Russian brand, the Tenet T4, has risen in price by 50 thousand rubles in several trim levels.

The Haval H5 SUV in one of the trim levels has become more expensive by 150 thousand rubles. Another model of the Great Wall Motor concern, the Tank 500 SUV, added 300 thousand rubles in one version. At the same time, Haval Dargo and Dargo X crossovers fell in price by 50 thousand rubles.

GAC has raised prices for the current year's Empow sedan by 150,000 rubles. Hongqi increased the cost of three models in some trim levels at once: the H9 sedan received an increase of 30 thousand rubles, the HS3 crossover became more expensive by 120 thousand rubles, and the H5 sedan — by 170 thousand rubles.

Finally, the domestic company Sollers increased prices for various modifications of the SF4 family of cars by 1 thousand rubles, and AvtoVAZ reduced prices for the Lada Granta van in three versions by 3 thousand rubles.

Why did Russians start actively buying cars

The day before, it was reported that Russians began to choose cars from more expensive segments more often. According to experts, in the first quarter of this year, Russians most often considered buying new cars worth 2-3 million and 3-5 million rubles — each of them accounted for 29% of the audience's attention. At the same time, the share of the segment of 3-5 million rubles increased by 3.7 percentage points (percentage points), and the segment of 5-8 million rubles — by 2.5 percentage points.
