Russia states that negotiations between the United States and Iran have so far ended in vain. This was announced on April 13 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"So far, we can state that the negotiations have ended in vain," he said in an interview with the Vesti news agency.

The Kremlin's official representative also expressed the opinion that the danger of a resumption of war in the Middle East has not been stopped.

Political analyst Dmitry Brije said that the failure of the memorandum in Islamabad signaled the withdrawal of the United States and Iran from the logic of phased de-escalation and increased the risks of a new escalation in the region.
