France should adhere to the concept of a multipolar world and strive to join the BRICS. This was announced on April 13 by the grandson of the former French president, General Charles de Gaulle, Pierre de Gaulle.

"I think we need to look further. It is necessary to see and focus on everything that unites us in the new democratic balance, in this new balance between peoples. France should rely on a multipolar world, it should join the BRICS," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to de Gaulle, Paris also needs to reconsider relations with the unpredictable Washington, which seeks to control every fifth country.

Pierre de Gaulle said on April 9 that NATO had become an instrument of harsh and aggressive policy. According to him, in these circumstances, France should reconsider its participation in the command and restore its independence in making strategic decisions.
