Macron congratulates Magyar on winning parliamentary elections in Hungary

On April 12, French President Emmanuel Macron congratulated Peter Magyar, leader of the Hungarian opposition Tisa party, on his victory in the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

"I just spoke with Peter Magyar to congratulate him on his victory in Hungary!" the French leader wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He noted that France welcomes the commitment of the Hungarian people to the values of the European Union (EU).

On April 12, Magyar announced the victory of his party in the parliamentary elections. According to him, together they managed to change the system of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
