On April 12, American leader Donald Trump said that if Iran refuses to make concessions, the United States will take a system of measures to stop access to its coastline.

"If Iran does not give in, the president can use his main trump card: the naval blockade," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

Tasnim news agency reported on April 12 that negotiations between the United States and Iran in Pakistan ended without an agreement. It was clarified that the American side was mistaken not only in military assessments, but also continues to make mistakes in the negotiation process. According to the agency, the place and time of the next round of possible negotiations have not been chosen.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagai said on April 12 that Tehran and Washington had come to an understanding on a number of points of the agreement, but views differed on two or three key issues. Bagai noted that the negotiations took place 40 days after the start of the war, and they took place in an atmosphere of distrust and suspicion.
