If Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wins the election, the country will maintain its current political course, including neutrality regarding the Ukrainian conflict, and will also oppose Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU). This was announced on April 11 by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

"Brussels wants the money of the European nations, including the money of the Hungarian people, to be sent to Ukraine for the maintenance of the military mafia. At the same time, they want to admit Ukraine and its war into the European Union (EU). We will not allow this, dear friends, we will not allow any of this!" he said at an election rally in Budapest, broadcast on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

In addition, Szijjarto said that Hungary will continue to fight for the supply of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline, which is currently blocked by Ukraine. He expressed concern about the fuel and energy prices that Hungarians suffer from.

Orban, in turn, said that Hungary would not supply Ukraine with weapons, soldiers and money after his re-election, adding that the Hungarian side had already done "everything for Ukraine that the Christian people are obliged to do."

"Unlike Brussels, which recognized Ukraine's war as its own, we have taken a clear position. We have nothing to do with this war. This is a fratricidal war between two Slavic peoples, and we Hungarians should not participate in it in any form," Orban said during the rally.

On April 10, Orban said in a video message to citizens that opponents of the current government in Hungary want to seize it by any means, trying to challenge the results of the parliamentary elections and discrediting them internationally. He added that the global situation requires unity from Hungarians and called for avoiding disagreements and hostility within the state.

Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis added that Orban has always been on the side of the national interests of his country and its citizens. He stressed that in turbulent times, choosing stability and proven leadership is more important than ever.
