Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced in the MACH messenger that the second tunnel was being built on the southern section of the Troitskaya metro line, from Novomoskovskaya station to Sosenok.

On Wednesday, April 8, he said that the Tatiana tunnel complex would lay about 1.6 km, including under the Sosenka riverbed and the Kaluga Highway, and the maximum depth of work would be 31 m.

Sobyanin noted that the creation of the left-hand distillation tunnel began in the fall, and it is planned to complete the sinking of both tunnels this year, writes Moscow 24.

He added that the southern section of the line will run along the Kaluga Highway — from Kommunarka to Troitsk, where six stations will open: Sosenki, Rakitki, Desna, Kedrovaya, Vatutinki and Troitsk. According to him, after the launch of the second stage, the metro will become more accessible to more than 300,000 residents and workers of the TINAO, and the travel time from Troitsk to the center will be reduced by about 40 minutes. The mayor also stressed that the launch of the entire line will improve transport accessibility for 2 million people and will have a positive impact on the development of the Krasnaya Pakhra district, the Moscow City News agency reports.

In October, the second stage of construction of the Troitskaya metro line began. After completion, the line will stretch from ZIL station to Troitsk, combining 17 stations and more than 43 km of tracks.
