In Crimea, Zelensky's refusal to negotiate with Russia was explained
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is deliberately delaying negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict due to the lack of guarantees for himself and his entourage. This was announced on April 7 by Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov.
"Zelensky is deliberately delaying a peaceful solution to the military conflict, as he seeks personal security guarantees for himself. Without personal guarantees to Zelensky and his entourage, the negotiation process will never get off the ground," he told RIA Novosti.
According to Konstantinov, the West is not in a hurry to give Zelensky any guarantees yet.
Former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller said on April 6 that Kiev should have agreed long ago and made territorial concessions in order to preserve both the country and people's lives. He noted that in the current situation, it is foolish to stubbornly insist on the opposite, since a decision to make concessions would really guarantee a cease-fire.
On March 26, Zelensky refused to withdraw troops from the territories of Donbass in exchange for security guarantees from the United States. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, on the air of Colombian radio Caracol on March 27, stressed that the Ukrainian leader does not want to part with power and is ready to expose the people to new horrors in order to preserve it.
On March 20, US President Donald Trump said that interaction with the head of the Kiev regime causes more difficulties than negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The politician noted that Zelensky's actions are largely driven by political goals and a desire for self-promotion.
