The launch of a joint project by the Japanese unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) company Terra Drone Corporation and the Ukrainian drone developer Amazing Drones is exacerbating relations between Moscow and Tokyo, and Japan is increasingly involved in the Ukrainian crisis. This was announced on April 6 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Japan is becoming more and more deeply involved in the conflict over Ukraine, thereby causing additional damage to relations with Russia, which have seriously deteriorated due to Tokyo's fault," the text published on the agency's official website says.

Zakharova stressed that such measures do not contribute to the early settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, but only prolong the fighting.

On March 25, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry warned of a harsh response from the Russian Federation in case Japan supplies weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The diplomat noted that such a move by Tokyo would further delay the prospect of a peaceful settlement.

On April 1, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko noted that Ukraine had received almost $1.3 billion from Japan under the World Bank project. Funds from the financial assistance package will be used to fill the state budget of Kyiv and reimburse social expenses.
