The cold snap in Moscow will end by the weekend. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, announced this on Monday, April 6.

The forecaster said that on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7 and 8, it will be about +5...+8 degrees. The cold snap will peak on Thursday, April 9. At night, Muscovites expect a slight minus, and in the afternoon 0 ... +3 degrees and sleet.

"Friday will be the last cold day — around +2...+4 degrees Celsius, precipitation will stop. On Saturday, the sun will come out and the warming will begin, it will be about +8 degrees, and on Sunday it will be up to +12 degrees, so we are not celebrating the holiday with cold weather," Shuvalov said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

At the same time, the expert admitted that the current cold snap may not be the last.

Earlier in the day, Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Crisis Management Department at the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, said that cloudy weather with a slight warming was expected in Moscow for Easter. He added that the current week in the capital, from April 6 to April 12, will be mostly cloudy, frosts up to minus 5 degrees and precipitation are expected, the Moscow City News agency reports.
