The children of blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek) find it difficult to bear reports of their mother's illness, they often worry and cry because of what is happening. This was announced on April 6 by her ex-husband Artyom.

"My daughter says, 'Dad, is Mom dying?' When she told me that for the first time, I cried a little myself, because it's all hard," Chekalin said in a conversation with a correspondent of Izvestia.

Artyom added that he has been preparing for court sessions for days — there have been six of them in the last two weeks. In addition, Chekalin does sports every day, and when Lercek leaves for the hospital, he takes over the upbringing of the children.

Chekalina gave birth to her fourth child with Argentine choreographer Luis Squicciarini in February this year, and was hospitalized the day after her discharge. According to the man, Lercek, who was found to have cancer cells during one of the examinations, began to undergo radiation therapy. Some time later, on March 16, the blogger was released from house arrest, and the criminal proceedings were suspended due to an oncological disease detected in the person involved.

Another criminal case against Lercek and her ex-husband Artyom Chekalin was opened in October last year. The ex-husband and wife, as well as their accomplice Roman Vishnyak, were suspected of illegally withdrawing more than 250 million rubles from Russia to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) using forged documents. Chekalin, like Lercek, denied involvement in the withdrawal of funds abroad, but pleaded guilty to violating tax laws.
