Blogger Lercek started wearing a wig due to hair loss. What is known
Blogger Valeria Chekalina, known as Lercek, experienced hair loss due to aggressive treatment and started using a wig. Her lover Luis Squicciarini shares on his social networks what is happening to the mother of his son. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
The blogger's health status
Lercek is undergoing complex treatment for stage four stomach cancer. According to Squicciarini, the medical course is divided into nine stages, some of which have already been completed. The illness caused severe consequences: the blogger practically lost sight in one eye and is experiencing serious difficulties when moving.
A special venous port was installed in the neck area to perform regular procedures and administer the necessary medications. Despite her physical weakness and grueling chemotherapy sessions, Chekalina tries to remain optimistic and thanks her followers on social networks for their many words of support.
"I love this life very much and I will definitely live by your prayers," Lercek said.
On his Instagram page (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), Chekalina's lover posted a video showing Valeria rocking a one-month-old baby in pajamas and without makeup. The footage shows that the blogger's face is haggard, and his eyes look tear-stained. Squicciarini noted that the family had united for the blogger's recovery, and expressed confidence in her abilities.
"Now we are all rallying so that Lera gets well. We feel your support, thank you for your prayers and believe in the best. Live, my Lera. She is very strong, the strongest woman I have ever met," Luis Squicciarini said.
Access to treatment during the investigation period
The issue of providing medical care to Chekalina during the investigative actions caused a discussion among lawyers. Ekaterina Gordon stated that she had personally seen the blogger's petitions for referral to a specialized center due to unbearable pain. She denied the information that Valeria was provided with all the opportunities for therapy in a timely manner, and stressed that she helps her free of charge because of the severity of the diagnosis.
Lawyer Elena Ponomareva expressed a different point of view, noting that the right to treatment was not limited, but petitions were granted. According to her, the investigation rejected only requests to visit private clinics that could interfere with the investigation. Chekalina herself attributes the late detection of the disease precisely to the inability to get to the right specialists, arguing that the state institutions of Istra did not have the equipment to make an accurate diagnosis.
Repayment of tax debt
The Moscow Arbitration Court has officially terminated the bankruptcy proceedings against Valeria Chekalina. The reason was the full repayment of debt owed to the state. During the court session, documents were submitted on the transfer of 176 million rubles, which fully covered the requirements of the tax service in the amount of 173 million rubles.
The issue of the source of funds has caused contradictory statements. The court heard information that the money came from a third party. However, Luis Squicciarini denied this claim in his social networks, insisting that the debt was paid on his own.
"The debt to the tax service has been repaid. It was repaid not by someone, but independently," Squicciarini wrote.
Suspected simulation of Lercek's disease
There have been posts on social media questioning the severity of the blogger's condition. Blogger Inna Kombarova reported on the Telegram channel that her friend allegedly saw Chekalina training at the gym and in the sauna a few days before the latest news. The author of the publication expressed concern that such situations could damage the reputation of the healthcare system.
"I don't want to push it, but my friend caught Lercek in training three days ago. And here I am defending the healthcare system, which saves me and millions of people in our country. I would not like to see her denigrated," wrote Kombarova.
