A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their position along the front line and defeated enemy manpower and equipment in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 175 people, an armored combat vehicle, 18 vehicles and two field artillery guns. An electronic warfare station, nine ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.
The military personnel of the Western group of forces have improved their tactical situation. Ukrainian formations were defeated in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region. The enemy's losses amounted to more than 180 soldiers, an infantry fighting vehicle, five armored combat vehicles, 22 vehicles, two field artillery guns, a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and three ammunition depots.
The southern group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. AFU formations were hit in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 70 militants, two armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, five field artillery guns and a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle. Seven warehouses of ammunition, materiel and fuel and lubricants were destroyed.
The Center group of troops improved the situation along the front line and hit enemy manpower and equipment in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 380 people, four infantry fighting vehicles, seven armored combat vehicles, including a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, a field artillery cannon, 15 vehicles and an ammunition depot.
The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian formations were hit in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost up to 290 soldiers, an infantry fighting vehicle and nine vehicles.
Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized brigade, the brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of the Zaporizhia region and the city of Kherson. Up to 65 militants, two armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, three electronic warfare stations and a warehouse of materiel were destroyed.
Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the infrastructure of military airfields, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.
Six guided aerial bombs, a Flamingo long-range cruise missile and 308 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.
According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 131025 unmanned aerial vehicles, 653 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28687 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1696 multiple rocket launchers, 34276 field artillery guns and mortars, 58596 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
