Zakharova ridiculed Macron's view of "medium-sized" states
On April 3, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ridiculed French President Emmanuel Macron's view of "medium-sized" countries, including those with large territories.
According to Zakharova, India, Brazil, Australia and Canada were included in the list of the French leader in question. It is these countries that are included in the "top 10" largest countries in the world, led by Russia.
"I was inattentive, I missed the news about when geography was canceled in France," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
Macron's words about the need for medium-sized states to unite to confront the hegemony of the United States and China were quoted by Bloomberg on the same day. The French president made a corresponding statement to the Seoul students, whom he visited as part of his tour of Asia.
