The Social Fund announced the upcoming payments to WWII veterans by Victory Day
In April 2026, the Social Fund of Russia (Sotsfond RF) intends to begin payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), dedicated to Victory Day. This was announced on March 31 in the press service of the foundation.
"In April, the Social Fund will begin transferring annual payments to participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War by May 9, and funds will be delivered to each veteran by banks and mail according to their schedule," the press service told RIA Novosti.
It is noted that the payment will amount to 10 thousand rubles. The money will be given to those veterans who were directly involved in the fighting of the Second World War.
Veterans living in the Baltic states, former republics of the USSR (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), retain the right to receive payments.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin approved payments to veterans by Victory Day on March 11. The amount of payments will range from 25 thousand to 70 thousand rubles, depending on the category. About 23 thousand Muscovites will receive assistance.
