The United States is trying to restore hegemony through the control of global resources. This was announced on March 30 by Senator of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov.

"The United States can no longer, as before, rule the world through the control of territories... However, hegemony based on the control of territories, primarily by military means, is very expensive. Now the United States is trying to renew its hegemony through control over resources," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that the United States intends to control all kinds of resources, whether from Venezuela, Greenland or Iran.

Thus, according to Pushkov, the United States is demonstrating an attempt to return to the policy of "classical imperialism."
