On March 30, US President Donald Trump said that if he did not reach an agreement with Iran and if the Strait of Hormuz was not opened for business in the near future, the US military would end its stay in the region, completely destroying all Iranian energy facilities.

"Significant progress has been made, but if for some reason an agreement is not reached soon (which is likely to happen), and if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately 'Open for Business,' we will end our wonderful 'stay' in Iran by blowing up and completely destroying all their power plants, oil wells." and Khark Island (and possibly all the desalination plants!), which we have not intentionally "touched yet," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

He added that these actions would be retaliation by the United States for the killed soldiers and civilians whom Iran allegedly destroyed for 47 years. Trump focused on contacts with a certain "new and more reasonable regime" in Iran, with which the American side is conducting serious negotiations.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagai said on March 30 that Iran had not held any talks with the United States recently. He noted that the enemy is trying to use war to prevent the truth from reaching the Iranian people and the world community, and in this context is attacking journalists and the media.

Chairman of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on March 29 that US representatives, who publicly send signals to Iran with an alleged invitation to negotiations on a settlement, are in fact secretly planning a ground operation in the Islamic Republic.
