The price of Brent crude oil exceeded $115 per barrel
The price of Brent crude oil futures exceeded the mark of $115 per barrel on the London ICE exchange for the first time since March 19. This follows from the data published on the official website of the exchange.
It is specified that at 01:15 Moscow time, the price rose to $ 115.65 per barrel, an increase of 2.74%. Later, the growth rate slowed down slightly: by 01:25 Moscow time, the quote was $115.40, which is 2.51% higher than the previous level. By 02:58 Moscow time, the price reached $116 per barrel.
Thus, despite fluctuations, the price of oil continued to stay above $115 per barrel.
Spartak Sobolev, head of the Investment strategy research department at Alfa-Forex, said on March 27 that prices on the global oil market slowed down after US President Donald Trump announced the suspension of strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure. According to him, information stuffing about a possible US ground operation supports oil prices above $100 per barrel of Brent. In case of further escalation of the conflict, quotations may rise to the range of $ 115-120 per barrel.
