The Iranian aviation authorities have decided to extend the restriction on the use of the country's airspace until April 5. This was reported on March 29 by TASS, citing a source in air traffic control circles in the Middle East.
"Iran's airspace will be closed, approximately, until 08:30 World Time (11:30 Moscow time) on Sunday, April 5," the source said.
It clarifies that the ban does not apply to flights of state, military and sanitary aviation, as well as search and rescue flights and individual flights that can be performed with the permission of the aviation regulator.
A source in the Middle East air traffic control services said on March 14 that the ban on flights in the airspace of the Islamic Republic of Iran had been extended until March 22.
