Roscosmos has published footage of a cyclone causing heavy rains in the Caucasus

On March 29, the Roscosmos State Corporation published footage of a cyclone causing heavy rains in some regions of the Caucasus.

"A powerful cyclone that came from the Caspian Sea caused large—scale flooding," the press service said in a statement.

Due to the natural disaster, Dagestan was covered by intense downpours, which led to power outages, flooding and widespread destruction.

An extreme situation is possible in the Ryazan and Penza regions, as well as in Tatarstan and Mordovia.

A day earlier, an emergency mode was introduced in Makhachkala due to the effects of heavy rains. At the same time, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, said that heavy rain and wind had created a critical situation in many districts and cities of the republic.
