The United States and Israel must stop attacking Iran. On March 29, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told Pavel Zarubin, the author of the Vesti information service.

"They are currently engaged in resolving the situation around Iran, a situation that they themselves created together with their Israeli friends. Well, we can only wish them good luck, because it's just terrible to continue bombing. This must stop," Ushakov said.

He said this commenting on the distraction of the United States from the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and added that in relations with partners, Russia adheres to the principle of "trust but verify."

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on March 29 that the war in the Middle East has long-term disastrous consequences for the global economy. According to him, it remains only to be patient and observe exactly what these consequences will be.

On March 27, the Russian delegation at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) consultations on Iran called on council members to focus on de-escalation and a diplomatic settlement. In addition, Russia called on the audience to continue to assess the ongoing attacks on civilians and provide the necessary assistance to the civilian population.
