Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called Russia a friendly country and announced his intention to make a trip to Russia soon. He stated this on March 28 during a meeting with fellow citizens, a recording of which he posted on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist by the Russian Foundation for Human Rights). news.am ..

"What is it about? I'm going to Russia soon. We keep in touch. What kind of enemy? How? Russia is our friend," Pashinyan replied to a question from a local resident.

During a conversation with the Prime Minister at a fair in Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, the woman asked Pashinyan not to spoil relations with Moscow, noting that she has many relatives living in Russia since the 1988 Spitak earthquake.

On March 23, Pashinyan's press service reported on a telephone conversation between the Armenian Prime Minister and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It was reported that the leaders of the states agreed to meet at the nearest convenient time.

On the same day, Putin and Pashinyan discussed aspects of the further development of interstate relations, as well as cooperation in the fields of energy and transport. It was emphasized that the conversation took place on the initiative of Yerevan.
