Blogger Lerchek's ex-husband (real name — Valeria Chekalina) Artem Chekalin said that she needed money for expensive cancer treatment. At the same time, Chekalina's lover Luis Squicciarini said that the blogger had already completed her first course of chemotherapy and immune therapy. The girl herself accuses law enforcement officers of wasting time fighting the disease at an early stage. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

Money for the treatment of patients

The blogger's former husband, Artyom Chekalin, commenting on the news about the new cosmetics brand of Elvira Feopentova's former mother-in-law and the possible involvement of Lercek in it, said that Valeria needs money to pay for treatment and family maintenance.

"God grant her (Lerchek. — Ed.) success and great victories. She needs money now, both for treatment and for her family, so God grant that everything will work out for her," he told Izvestia.

Chekalin clarified that he had no information about his former mother-in-law's new business. According to him, he knows nothing about the possible involvement of Valeria Chekalina in this commercial project.

Lercek complained about the paramedic

Valeria Chekalina said that due to the ban on using the Internet, she could not choose a clinic on her own. According to her, the investigator allowed a trip to a state institution, but the proposed option in Istra turned out to be an ordinary paramedic's office without the necessary equipment.

"They found the place closest to me. All we found in Istra was a paramedic's office. But when I got there, there was just a table on the ground floor of this five-story building and a paramedic was sitting behind it. They could measure the maximum temperature there. I didn't find any equipment that could help me there," Chekalina shared.

According to the blogger, precious time was lost to fight the disease due to the restrictions. She announced her intention to continue treatment, despite her serious physical condition and constant use of painkillers.

"I feel like an invalid. I don't want to die, I really want to live. I will fight to the end," Chekalina said with a question.

Details of Lercek's treatment

Chekalina's lover Luis Squicciarini said that the blogger had already completed her first course of chemotherapy and immune therapy. A total of nine such procedures are planned. According to him, after medical manipulations, the girl had complications with her eyesight.

"Lera underwent her first chemistry and immune therapy. We're starting the second one soon. There will be nine of them in total. The right eye is not fully visible yet," he wrote on social media.

The therapy takes place in Russia, as experts consider domestic treatment protocols to be effective. According to Squicciarini, this avoids flights, but a trip abroad may be required to recover. He noted that after radiation therapy, Chekalina's pain in her leg began to weaken.

What changed at the Lercek trial

The Gagarin District Court of Moscow changed the measure of restraint for Valeria Chekalina from house arrest to a ban on certain actions. The decision was made after the confirmation of her cancer. The court allowed the blogger to visit the websites of medical and preschool institutions.

Due to the state of health, criminal proceedings on the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles were suspended. The changes were reported in the Telegram channel of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction.

"By a decision of the Gagarin District Court of Moscow <...>, the preventive measure in the form of house arrest was changed to a ban on certain actions and criminal proceedings were suspended in connection with the state of health of the defendant Valeria Valeryevna Chekalina," the official statement said.
