Sales of Russian-built SWM and Kaiyi cars are almost over
Sales of SWM and Kaiyi cars, which were assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, have almost disappeared. So, in January-February of this year, 101 SWM cars and 37 Kaiyi cars were sold. In the first case, the volume fell by 91.3%, in the second — by 94%. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on March 27.
"Judging by the ratio of total production and sales volumes, about 300-400 cars of these brands remain in inventory. So their current history of presence in the Russian market is almost complete," said Tselikov.
Assembly and sales of Kaiyi cars started in early 2023, and the first SWM cars appeared in Russia at the end of the same year. Since then, almost 22 thousand Kaiyi and 6.3 thousand SWM have been sold in Russia.
As the analyst noted, last year dealers organized large sales of cars of these brands — discounts exceeded 30%. According to the expert, the assembly of Kaiyi was completed at Avtotor in early 2025, and SWM in September.
The day before, it became known that sales of Chinese brand Venucia cars had stopped in Russia. According to statistics from Autostat Info, not a single Venucia car was sold in the country in January-February 2026.
