Shokhin: Putin hopes that the crisis in the Middle East will end soon
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hope for an end to the crisis in the Middle East in the coming weeks. This was announced on March 26 by Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), at the end of the union's plenary congress with the participation of the head of state.
"The president said that he hopes that in the coming weeks, three or four weeks, the crisis will probably be resolved," Shokhin said.
Putin also urged businesses not to rely on the current high oil prices on world markets due to the Middle East conflict.
On March 23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed Russia's readiness to contribute to a settlement in the Middle East. At the same time, the solution to the war should be based on the interests of all states in the region, he said.
