Dmitriev called Russian energy the key to the survival of the whole world
Russian energy is a key factor of survival for the whole world. This was stated on March 26 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, answering a question from Izvestia.
According to the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Russia has the most powerful natural resources and reserves in the world.
"Russian energy is the key to the survival of not only the BRICS countries, but the entire world," he said.
Dmitriev explained that states that took into account the interests of various parties and continued to purchase Russian energy resources will be able to successfully overcome the consequences of a powerful energy crisis. He noted that India and other countries, including new partners, are currently actively acquiring Russian resources.
The head of the RDIF stressed that close cooperation within the framework of the BRICS in the current difficult period will be an important tool for overcoming global challenges.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on March 25 that there was a high demand for Russian oil in the world and in the future a situation might arise in which it would be difficult to meet it. He added that when choosing energy distribution channels, Russia will rely primarily on its interests, not the desires of Europe.
Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev added on the same day that Russia was receiving new requests from most Asian countries for energy supplies. He added that energy supply routes are being reviewed due to the crisis in the Middle East. The first in line to receive resources are the neighboring countries of the Russian Federation.
