A student who attacked a school in Chelyabinsk fired from an object similar to a rocket launcher. This was reported on March 26 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee for the region in the MAX messenger.

"According to investigators, on March 26, in the morning, a 15-year-old student of one of the schools located in the Leninsky district of Chelyabinsk fired a shot from an object similar to a rocket launcher into the face of a female peer," the agency said in a statement.

Currently, investigators and criminologists are continuing to work at the scene, and all the circumstances and motives of the crime are being established.

Earlier in the day, the regional government's press service reported an attack by a student on a classmate with a flare pistol in the Chelyabinsk Region. The press service clarified that the attacker broke both his legs when he jumped out of a fourth-floor window. Later, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened criminal cases under articles on attempted murder, negligence and the provision of unsafe services after the incident at a school in Chelyabinsk.
