Bad break: a schoolboy attacked a peer with a knife in the Perm region

Knife attack at school in Perm Region

In the Perm Region, a serious incident occurred in one of the schools in Alexandrovsk. On the afternoon of February 19, a seventh-grader attacked his peer with a knife. The teenager was seriously injured. The attack took place on the landing of the third floor of the educational institution.

According to preliminary data, a 13-year-old schoolboy stabbed a classmate several times in the body and neck area. The reason for the incident, according to law enforcement agencies, was a conflict between teenagers.

The Ministry of Education of the region reported that an interdepartmental commission had been set up in connection with the incident. She is conducting a comprehensive analysis of the causes of the incident.

The department also noted that the city administration, together with law enforcement agencies, decided to suspend classes in all schools in Alexandrovsk until February 24. In addition, security measures have been strengthened in all educational institutions in the Perm Region.

The victim's condition

The injured student was urgently hospitalized. Due to the severity of his condition, it was decided to evacuate him to Berezniki. The medical team included anesthesiologists and a thoracic surgeon. This was announced on the Telegram channel by the governor of the region Dmitry Makhonin.

According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Health, the victim is in stable hemodynamic condition. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Perm Territory, D.V. Golovkin, to submit a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and on the circumstances of the incident.

A criminal case has been opened into the attack. The Investigative Committee classified the incident under several articles, including the attempted murder of a minor.
