The name of the revived Volga car brand is written in Latin, and this is partly due to the fact that the company intends to realize the export potential that is embedded in the project's development strategy. This was stated by the head of the Volga branch Tatiana Fadeeva, reports "Auto Mail" on March 25.

Fadeeva recalled that Volga cars were previously exported to other markets, and they are well known abroad. Volga models are expected to be exported primarily to the CIS countries.

"We will move step by step, step by step. First of all, it is necessary to carry out high—quality work on the Russian market, then we will move to the nearest countries that know and appreciate the brand and will be ready to cooperate," the top manager said.

Volga is currently localizing car components that can be quickly integrated into a product within the framework of industry-accessible solutions. These are tires, rims, windows, batteries, telematics and multimedia. The next step will be to organize the production of larger components and implement our own engineering solutions, Fadeeva said. She noted that now, although the technical solutions of Chinese partners have been borrowed, the company intends to introduce its own product range in the future.

"In the future, cars will differ quite a lot. The models will be redesigned in terms of the exterior and interior. There will be a more comfortable second row of seats, and the interior will be modified in general. The engine-transmission combinations will be redesigned," said the head of Volga.
