On March 24, US President Donald Trump expressed support for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's re-election.

"Viktor Orban is a truly strong and powerful leader with a proven track record of achieving phenomenal results. He fights tirelessly for his great country and people and loves them, just as I fight for the United States of America and love them," the American leader wrote on the Truth Social network.

Trump also noted that cooperation between Washington and Budapest "has reached new heights."
