All foci and potential areas of spread of pasteurellosis in the Novosibirsk region have been eliminated. This was announced on March 24 by the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, head of the working group Sergey Dankvert.
"The main result of the work at the moment is the elimination of all places of occurrence and risk zones for the spread of pasteurellosis in the Novosibirsk region. Through the joint efforts of federal and regional authorities and farmers-residents of the region, we have achieved results, there are no more risks of spreading the disease," said Dankvert.
The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor stressed that since March 18, the group has done a tremendous amount of work.
According to Dankvert, this result was achieved thanks to the joint actions of federal and regional authorities, as well as farmers. Currently, as he specified, there are no threats of further spread of the disease.
The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor added that after the quarantine measures are completed, it will be possible to restore the number of farm animals.
On March 18, the government of the Novosibirsk Region allocated about 200 million rubles to compensate affected households. According to the government, more than 20 owners have already received compensation. More than 50 applications for social benefits have been accepted, which will begin to be received by owners of private subsidiary farms from March 19.
