There are no negotiations between Iran and the United States. This was reported on March 23 by the Sabereen News agency with reference to the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran: we refute the statements of the US President [Donald Trump] on negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The Fars news agency, in turn, reported, citing sources, that Tehran has no direct or indirect contacts with Trump.

"He retreated after learning that all power plants in Western Asia would be our targets," the article clarifies.

Trump announced on March 23 that the US military would temporarily suspend strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure amid talks between Washington and Tehran. He also said that the United States and Iran had held two days of fruitful negotiations to resolve the conflict.
