- Orban announced the surveillance of the Ukrainian intelligence service on Szijjarto's phone
The number of Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto was given to Ukrainian intelligence for wiretapping. This was announced on March 23 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"Wiretapping a government member's phone conversations is a serious attack on Hungary," he wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
The Hungarian Prime Minister also instructed the Minister of Justice to immediately investigate the information about the incident.
In turn, the representative of the Hungarian government, Zoltan Kovacs, in the social network X (ex. Twitter) reported that journalist Szabolcea Pani had given two phone numbers to a foreign intelligence agency. In the conversation, he described the call tracking system — who called whom and when.
Orban said on March 21 that the efforts of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to actually impose an oil blockade on Hungary constitute a grave crime. Orban pointed out that the supply of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline was stopped by Zelensky for political reasons in order to create "economic chaos" in Hungary. According to him, Kiev is in cahoots with the ruling class of the EU and the Hungarian opposition.
