The Russian Foreign Ministry called the attack on the Natanz facility a violation of international law.

The attacks on the Iranian uranium enrichment facility in Natanz are a gross violation of international law. This was announced on March 21 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"This is a blatant violation of international law," the ministry said in a statement on its website.

It is noted that the actions of the American-Israeli "tandem" ignore the charters of the United Nations and the IAEA, as well as relevant Security Council resolutions.

Zakharova insisted that massive attacks on Iran's military, civilian and nuclear facilities were continuing, contrary to earlier statements about the complete elimination of Iran's nuclear program during the airstrikes last June.

Moscow is particularly concerned about the fact that the Natanz facility is under IAEA safeguards, and attacks on it pose a direct threat of a radiological and environmental catastrophe throughout the Middle East.

On the same day, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reported an attack by the United States and Israel on a company in Natanz. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran reported that technicians had checked for a possible leak of radioactive materials. According to monitoring systems, no leaks have been recorded, and there is no radiation threat to the population of nearby areas. At the same time, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) found no deviations in the radiation background in the area of the Iranian nuclear facility in Natanz.
