A Ukrainian delegation has arrived in Miami for bilateral talks with White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. This was reported by the Ukrinform news agency on March 21.

It is noted that the main purpose of the visit is to discuss security issues, issues of strengthening air defense and parameters for ending the conflict.

The Ukrainian negotiating group included Kirill Budanov, head of the Office of the President (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist), and his first deputy Sergey Kyslytsa, as well as Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), and David Arakhamia, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced on March 19 that his country's delegation would travel to the United States for talks with the American team. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st. The Ukrainian leader noted that the parties intend to resume dialogue on the settlement of the conflict.

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained the pause in negotiations on Ukraine as an operation against Iran. According to him, the pause is of a technical nature, and Moscow hopes for the resumption of the negotiation process. After that, on March 20, he added that the Russian side would not take part in the negotiations between Kiev and Washington, which would be held on March 21. Peskov also stressed that the country expects the resumption of contacts in the near future.
