The expert announced the growth of Brent futures above $ 90 per barrel
This week, oil prices will range from $84 to $110 per barrel of Brent. Alexander Schneiderman, head of Alfa-Forex's Customer Support and Sales department, told Izvestia on March 16.
"Oil prices are maintaining a steady growing trend under the influence of the Middle East factor," the expert noted.
According to him, Brent crude futures for June-August deliveries have already exceeded $90 per barrel. This indicates a possible prolongation of the military conflict in the Persian Gulf, which continues to put pressure on the market.
The British Unheard portal reported on March 9 that the US-Israeli military operation had contributed to Russia's return to the global oil market. It is clarified that high oil prices also forced the American side to lift sanctions on Russian oil.
The U.S. Treasury Department said that as part of the changes in the sanctions policy, the United States granted an exception for the sale of Russian oil and petroleum products shipped before March 12. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent explained that the withdrawal of oil sales from Russia from US sanctions is aimed at reducing the cost of energy resources on world markets.
