A man died as a result of a fire in a one-story apartment building in Feodosia. This was announced on March 14 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Crimea.

"During the reconnaissance by the gas and smoke protection service, a 43-year-old victim was found, who was promptly handed over to the ambulance staff. Unfortunately, a 65-year—old deceased man was also found at the scene," the ministry said in a statement on Twitter.

It is specified that by the time the fire departments arrived, the roof of the house was already completely on fire.

According to the department, the fire area was 64 square meters. m. 20 employees and eight pieces of equipment participated in extinguishing the fire.

The preliminary cause of the incident was called careless handling of fire while smoking.

On March 13, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Udmurt Republic reported that three people, including one child, died as a result of a fire in a private house in the city of Sarapul. It is specified that as a result of the incident, one person was also injured. 13 people and five pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The causes of the incident are being determined.
