Mercedes-Benz unveils VLE minivan with unusual seats

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new luxury minivan, the VLE, which is equipped with an all-electric powertrain. One of the features of the model is comfortable passenger seats with multiple electrical adjustments that can be adjusted both from the media system screen and from the smartphone app. The brand's press service shared details about the new product.

The length of the Mercedes-Benz VLE is 5309 mm (almost like the Cadillac Escalade) with a wheelbase of 3342 mm, in the future the model will receive a modification with increased dimensions. The minivan has a streamlined body with a low coefficient of aerodynamic drag (0.25), headlights with three-ray stars and a radiator grille with illumination around the perimeter.

The cabin's front panel is dominated by a three-screen system, including the passenger one. Optionally, a wide 31.3-inch ceiling display for rear passengers with a resolution of 8K will be available. Video conferencing is possible in the car, and an eight-megapixel camera is available for this purpose.

Other features of the Mercedes-Benz VLE are the Burmester 3D surround sound system with 22 speakers, a panoramic glass roof with backlight and passenger seats like in a private jet in the top configuration — they are equipped with footrests, lumbar support, massage function, and a wireless charger for a smartphone.

The Mercedes-Benz VLE will receive a front-wheel drive 276-horsepower version with a battery capacity of 115 kWh, which allows you to drive up to 700 km on a single charge, as well as an all-wheel drive version with two engines (415 hp) and the same battery. In the most powerful version, it takes 6.5 seconds from zero to 100 km/h.
