Putin thanked the UAE President for his help and support to the Russians

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation with the leader of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, thanked him for his help and support to the Russians in the country. This was announced on March 11 by the Kremlin's press service.

Putin also congratulated Al Nahyan on his 65th birthday and wished him good health and well-being. The leaders noted the dynamic development of friendly relations between Russia and the UAE, and also discussed the escalation in the Middle East.

"The leaders continued to exchange views on the dangerously deteriorating situation in the Middle East region, which has serious consequences for Iran, as well as for Arab countries," the Kremlin said in a statement on its website.

The Russian President noted that it is necessary to stop the further escalation of hostilities and move towards a peaceful settlement through negotiations.
