The UK has recorded the fastest growth rate of petrol prices in four years. This was reported on March 10 by The Times newspaper.

"Prices for unleaded gasoline at gas stations increased on average to 138.95 pence per liter — by 6.12%...> The increase in diesel fuel prices was even more significant, reaching 155.12 pence," RAC statistics cite in the article.

It is specified that the jump in gasoline prices is associated with the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East.

The Wall Street Journal reported on March 10 that the International Energy Agency (IEA) proposed the largest release of oil reserves in its history to lower oil prices caused by the US and Israeli military operation against Iran. According to the publication, the proposed release volume will amount to more than 182 million barrels.
