Two people died after being hit by an electric train at Orekhovo-Zuyevo station
A man and a woman died as a result of an electric train collision at the Orekhovo-Zuyevo station of the Gorky direction of the Moscow Railway (MZhD). This was reported in the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (ZMSUT) of the Investigative Committee of Russia on Tuesday, March 10.
"The Eastern Investigation Department for Transport of the ZMSUT of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is conducting a preliminary investigation into the fatal injury of a man and a woman on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety and operation of railway transport, resulting in the death of two persons by negligence")," the Moscow City News Agency quotes the message.
The investigation found that on the morning of March 10, an electric train with a Moscow — Krutoe connection killed a man and a woman who were crossing railway tracks in the wrong place.
The investigator conducted an inspection of the scene, all the circumstances of the incident are being established, according to the website. kp.ru .
On February 25, a pedestrian was killed by a train in Yessentuki. The man, born in 1974, died on the spot.
Earlier, on February 10, it was reported that after a collision between a car and a train, one person was killed, two were injured in the Tselinsky district of the Rostov region. The driver, driving a Kia Magentis car, collided with an electric train while passing a railway crossing at a forbidding traffic light. Two people were also injured and were hospitalized.
