Anadolu reported $2 billion worth of US military equipment losses in Iran
The US Armed Forces lost almost $2 billion worth of military equipment during the operation in Iran. This was reported on March 7 by the Anadolu agency, citing its own calculations and estimates.
According to Anadolu estimates, the most costly loss was the American AN/FPS-132 early warning system at the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, which costs $1.1 billion.
Also on March 1, the United States lost three F-15E Strike Eagle fighters, the cost of replacing which in the wing will amount to $ 282 million.
Anadolu's assessment clarifies that on February 28, Iran attacked the headquarters of the Fifth Fleet of the US Navy in Manama, Bahrain, destroying two AN/GSC-52B satellite communications terminals, which cost $20 million each.
Earlier in the day, the Iranian Navy launched massive drone strikes against US facilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait. The radar stations of the strategic Sdot Micah facility in Israel were also attacked.
CNN reported on March 5 that several US radar bases in the Middle East had been destroyed. So, in Jordan, the THAAD battery radar system was damaged. American bases in the UAE, which host similar equipment, were also attacked.
